1. GoLog in to theYour ourBackroadMaps websiteAccount

Open a browser and go to
BackroadmapbooksBackroadMaps.
Log intoin your account on our website,or create a new account if you don't have one.account.
2. Click on the "MY GPS Maps" buttonMaps to go toreach the registration page.

2. Download the downPC arrowUpdater
Expand the product information,details by clicking the down‑arrow.

5.) Under Map Updates Available for Download, Clickclick PC Updates.

Once the download completes, open the downloaded file BRMB_updater2025.exe (located where you saved it).

When prompted, click Yes to downloadallow changes.

Follow the updaterwelcome application to your computer.wizard:
6. Scroll Down to the Unlock Information and copy your new 25 digit unlock key.
Insert your microSD card into the computer or place it in your GPS unit and plug it into your computer via a USB cable so the computer is able to see the microSD card as a drive.
Click Yes if asked to Allow changes
8. The updater application will start the Welcome screen, click Next and accept

It is good practice to verify the data was copied into the backup folder before continuing.
1. On the backup screenscreen, it will ask you to select a Drive from the drop down menu, Selectchoose your microSD card from the listDrive anddrop‑down.
Click Backup.


Wait patiently while the data is copied. Verify the files exist in the backup folder before proceeding.

4. askedUpdate tothe selectMaps
Select your microSD card driveagain from the dropdown.

1. Select your MicroSD fromCopy the drop down menu.
2. Copy and paste your new 25 25‑digit unlock key displayed in the Unlock Information section.

Paste the key into the Unlock Key field.
3. Click Update.

5. Verify the Update
Insert the microSD card into the GPS or connect the GPS via USB so the card appears as a drive.

Updater Error message?

If you are getting and error message shown above, make sure you are entering 25 characters with no empty spaces.
4. You can now try loadingload the maps on your GPSGPS.
Verify the mapsmap are showingdata by goingnavigating on the device to SETUP > MAP.
