GPS Maps FAQ
Can I return or get a refund for my purchased GPS maps? 
 Returns on any digital products are not accepted if the packaging is opened. However, Backroad Mapbooks will offer an exchange for the identical product if the one you received is defective.  Proof of purchase is required.  The customer is responsible for all return shipping charges on the product. A refund of the original purchase price of the products will be issued once we receive the returned merchandise. We do not refund the original billed shipping charges.  Can I install the maps directly onto my GPS unit memory? 
 No the maps are locked to the microSD card we provide and that card can be used in any GPS that supports a microSD slot. We offer larger capacity cards for additional storage if needed at checkout. 
 Will backroad GPS maps work in my Garmin unit? 
 You can view our compatibility list to see if your unit is listed as compatible. Compatibility List   
 
  Limited compatibility usually means the device is an older model or has reported issues displaying the maps.  
 Older units have limited compatibility due to the 256 color display or the character limits when viewing write up text. 
 
 Will the GPS maps work on my vehicles Nav system? 
 No our GPS maps are designed to work on GARMIN GPS units, Other Navigation systems will not be able to read the Garmin map data to display the maps. 
 Will the GPS maps work with Garmin Express, or the Explore app to view on my phone? 
 No Garmin Express and the Explore app are designed for Garmin map data and will not work with our maps.

DIGITAL MAPS FAQ
How can I use the PDF mapbook? 
 The PDF maps can be viewed using any PDF reader on your computer or mobile device. 
 Are your PDF maps GEO referenced? 
 No the PDF map is just a digital copy of the physical mapbook. 
 Can I print the PDF maps? 
 No the PDF maps are print restricted. 
 I am unable to download my PDF I purchased. 
 Downloads are found in your user account under the "My Downloadable Products" Menu. You are given up to 10 attempts to download and save a copy of the PDF map. If you are still not able to download the PDF after those attempts you can contact support for assistance.

 GPS maps can be upgraded to the latest version when available. To update your maps you must have them registered in your account. Your Update discount is based off the version you currently have registered in your account. 
 Updates are done yearly around Fall and may provide new features and map changes, for more information on version changes you can view our  Change List . 
 You can also view our compatibility list to see if your GPS UNIT is supported or not.
